Job Interviews are emasculating for Black men

9/10 we are interviewing with some cac we know isnt going to hire us no matter how qualified we are or well we interview, but still have to come in skinning and grinning. We bascially have to be Barack Obama to even have a shot at a nice job, but even then we might get passed up for some cac who is half as qualified.

Damn. Just had an interview with a 3 way panel. They asked alot of behavioral questions only. I was ready for some IT questions.

I hate interviewing. It’s like a journey of just kissing ass. Preparing for the interview, kissing ass on the interview, then sending a thank you note aka “can I kiss your ass one more time?” Smh

I play a damn good Obama tho. Price that gotta be paid. You can drop the act after 2mos.

Well shyt, that should motivate you even more to be a owner, rather than just being an employee.

This just goes around the issue. Even as an owner you still gotta tap dance for banks and clients (most of which are white). It’s not practical to have a purely black finance base or clientele outside of dc, ATL, and Houston because whites have a majority of the resources.


As a black man, the emasculation doesn’t end in business , you just end up tap dancing for different folks.
