Job-seeker commits suicide after 200 rejections

A young woman who left school with three A-levels and ten GCSEs killed herself because she felt 'humiliated' about not getting a job.
Vicky Harrison, 21, failed to find work after applying for more than 200 jobs over two years.
She took a massive drug overdose a day after receiving a rejection letter following an interview. She left a suicide note saying: 'I don't want to be me anymore.'

That's sad. But really, nothing like that is worth killing oneself over. It's like anything, you deal with people saying no until somebody gives you a break and says yes.

yes well society is fukked up for making people believe you are what job you have.

theres more unemployed than there are jobs. so how people expect us unemployed to just up and get a job is foolish. im just hapy im getting paid to be unemployed.

I absolutely agree.

I think my main gripe with society and the system at large is how many people out there that are unemployed that could really make a difference and turn things around...but no one's giving them a chance to prove themselves.

People need to stop focusing on finding a "job" so badly and start thinking about more creative ways to make money doing something they enjoy.

But then again its easy for me, on the outside looking in to say something like that. Not everyone has a passion and some people are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
