The priority right now is get Trump out of the paint. I support leftists forming 3rd party structures, the labor movement getting teeth again, and people on the streets everyday demanding Biden and hopefully a Dem House and Senate do something to improve material conditions of people. I think we will see mass civic actions in 2021 with the economic crisis continuing and the COVID-19 pandemic hopefully coming to an end.
If Biden doesn't govern effectively, if the Senate filibuster is not abolished, he will not be able to do any of his agenda items. And if he doesn't govern, things will get really ugly for him very quickly.
Right now you need 60 VOTES to pass legislation in the US Senate.
If the Dems win the majority by a couple of seats, Mitch McConnell will block ANY agenda item from Biden. So his healthcare plan, his climate plan, his immigration plan, his stimulus plan, and voting rights/democracy plans won't get anywhere.
The Dems will have to fukking wield their power and nuke the filibuster so they can pass all of their agenda with 51 votes. In hindsight, Obama should have did this in 2009 and 2010 when the Dems had 59 Senators and the US House.
The current US House controlled by the Dems has passed MANY bills that McConnell has let die on his desk.
Getting Trump out is priority 1A but winning the Senate is priority 1B and getting rid of the racist filibuster is priority 1C.
Otherwise, NOTHING beyond 2 budget reconciliation bills reversing the Trump tax cuts stuffed with some priorities will be able to pass in 2021 and 2022. And if Biden ain't governing, he will become unpopular fast. Very fast.
So the best thing about Kamala Harris is she wants to get rid of the filibuster. Let's hope she takes interest in policy. I'd like to see her go after power like the tech monopolies, the banks. But I know, it is unlikely.

Hell Hilary Clinton won support from Black voters in the primaries, but how did that turn out for her when they didn't show up during the General election in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin?

This really should be its own thread, that lady Tone interviewed kills all this "Black Girl Magic" for Kamala
1. Her truancy laws led to this woman going to jail, and being publicly embarrassed in front of her neighbors.
2. Because of the truancy charge, it stood on her record and fukked up her job prospects.
3. She was evicted and homeless at a time.
4. Because of the stress of the case and all that came w/ it(eviction, no money, etc), her daughter got a stroke and has a right arm that's still impaired.
All of the above is on Kamala, and there's no way you can defend her after this. We're gon even touch on Harris not pressing charges on that race soldier, who beat up that sista on that Southern CA freeway back in 2014/2015.
