What happens with a presidential pardon when you've already done your time?

Is his record erased? I mean he's already a free man or is he on probation perhaps

No, a presidential pardon does not automatically clear probation; while it forgives the crime, it does not erase the conviction or remove any associated penalties like probation, meaning you would still need to complete your probationary period even if pardoned.
