Akademiks and Drake are the two topics that keep Joe Budden from not becoming a niche podcaster. His YT numbers aren't even that great. I don't understand how anyone can watch his show without falling asleep. That shyt drags on, has no energy except when it's forced, and they don't bring any buzzing rappers on.
Platforms that put artists on will always be bigger in the culture than the ones that don't. The former lays out the carpet that the latter wants to stand on just to take pics after the fact. Imagine if every region had a poppin show like No Jumper giving shine to new rappers each week? That's what Philly needs, New York needs, the DMV needs. The Bay Area and Texas are growing platforms like that already.
