Coli got me bored me during the game. So here were go. Any argument Kiss is better got to be based strictly off skills and guest spots. Do not mention sales, relevance or how many people know their tracks again :mjlol:

Need @2ATMsYouSteppinOrWhat to weigh in

This is super disingenuous lol

Both of these guys desperately needed features but Kiss wasn’t getting single treatment from prime Wayne, Yeezy & Drake when it meant something

Kiss first two albums had guest spots from Nas, DMX, Snoop, Nate Dogg, Mariah Carey, Pharrell, Kanye and Eminem when they was at their peak or at least multiplatinum status. With production from Neptunes, Kanye, Swizz, Timbaland, Alchemist, Just Blaze and Premier at the peak of their commercial success. And both got outsold by Doctor's Advocate and LAX even though those dropped at the lowest point of sales in music biz history.

If you taking Jada, make it about straight up skills, bars and guest spots. You can win that argument and I will agree. But he could never make better albums or bigger hits than Game, even with equivalent budgets and guest star firepower.

Once again…this works for someone who wasn’t around

DMX wasn’t a factor like he was
Nas wasn’t musically relevant based on where music was
Snoop was…around?

An Eminem video treatment and/or a Kanye produced single with a feature would’ve been a boost at that time but none of those other people during that 04 time frame (KOD album release) moved the needle like a Drake, Wayne or Kanye by the time Game became a label priority

Game wasn’t a hit maker on his own. If he was his whole outcome would’ve been different.

Can’t argue album sales though

And Jada was?

Jada got zero Billboard 100 songs with no feature. Game got two. There's no record sales or hit record argument in Jada favor in this comparison unless you talking guest spots, but the tri-state crew keep insisting on going that route :manny:

I was "around." Game 2006-2008 was easily bigger than Jada ever was anywhere other than the eastern seaboard. But this board will swear Jim Jones was bigger than E-40 ever was because when they was 13 in New Jersey their little circle idolized Jim. But the numbers never backed that and where I'm from you'd get laughed at for saying that.

He is right but The Game would make a better podcast than Joe Budden

In fact The Game vs Cam’ron would be the best in the game for podcast/broadcasts

He is not right. And the irony is that game ended up with the same type of career as joe, post-Dre. Nice as anyone rapping, criminally underrated, but flawed. Joe couldn’t make music that mattered if he wasn’t on his emo shyt (and even the emo shyt catered to a limited audience), game spent the first half of his career name-dropping then pivoted to stealing other nikkas styles. I get Joe is showing east coast bias, and rightfully so, but this is one of those moments where I wish he were more objective as a podcaster.

game has a HOF ear for beats, which allowed him to make great music despite his very apparent flaws. Game obsessed on the name dropping. Joe liked to rap over shyt that was half-trash, half static because his engineer was trash. Both flawed. But game figured out a way to stay relevant when his torch should have been flamed out.

If Jesus Piece ain’t classic, it’s on the doorstep. Ali Bumbaye invalidates Joe’s entire argumet. Doc 2 was full of great songs too, even if it didn’t need to be a double. Game has a better discography than Kiss, even if you remove the Dre album(s). Annnnd… that nikka went head up with G-Unit at their peak and won. He sunk the ship. So as a battle rapper or an album maker, where is Jada better?

I think there may be incoming opportunity for you in the realm of creative consultation for aspiring artists

DETROIT (Do Every Thing Right Or It's Trouble)
So when he says Game has no classic music that isn’t attached to 50 Cent, is he saying “Hate it or Love It” and “This is How We Do” are the only classic songs Game ever made, or is he saying Documentary is the only classic album he has?
He is right, all of his classic songs are of the G-Unit umbrella.

You skipped the part where I said both these guys couldn’t write a hit on their own to save their lives.

With that being said I would never put too much stock in what Game sold post 50 because there was still residual interest in him as being a part of and ultimately being removed from the biggest rapper since Hammer’s group.

Buck was picked up off the scrap heap and so was Game. Maybe we’re discussing whether Bishop Lamont or Joe Beast was bigger than KISS if 50 picked them instead.:yeshrug:
