Kings Lose Crowns, Teachers Stay Intelligent
In a surprising move, it has been announced that Joe Budden, an established rapper with an actual career, will face off against a formidable opponent in a public arena. On July 12th in NYC, Budden will square up with seasoned battle veteran Hollow Da Don for the Eminem sanctioned Total Slaughter battle event at the Hammerstein Ballroom. As we know, once rappers get a song on the radio or sell a couple of albums, their willingness to battle unsigned or lesser known opponents usually evaporates. But here we have Joe Budden, a guy who can probably make a living for the rest of his life from his devoted fan base and fruitful reality TV career, putting his reputation on the line in a very high profile way. The July 12th event will also feature a highly anticipated rematch between two of the greatest battle rappers to ever come out of Harlem, NY: Loaded Lux and Murda Mook. This should be one for the ages.
Tickets go on sale on May 16th, for more information go here
