Listen I get it you big into analytics and they certainly are improtant but i'm not getting into that argument but the way things are going now why even have coaches just fukking get a robot that does all the math going into a game and just have it spit out lineups everyday.
Guaranteed in 20 years you will have Watson type robot on the bench next to the manager giving advice on certain in game situations.
I will say this, out of all sports this is the more sabremetrical based so I can see how people want to use it so much now. I agree though it is getting a little too much now.

he'd command far too much attention. It would be a daily circus in the Bronx.

the Yankees shouldn't focus too much on corny shyt like "being able to handle the media in NY".

Lol I thought that might cause some confusion.

What I mean is, someone like ARod is too tabloid prone. He’s bigger than any team he would manage. It would be too much drama for any team but particularly a young, developing team. And there’s far too much controversy about ARod’s career that hasn’t been hashed out sufficiently (by NY standards).

But at the same time you don’t want to hire someone specifically because of their profile and big city market experience. Like, well...fukkin Joe Girardi. Or Paul O’Neill.

It would be dope for Giradi to take a year off and come to the Braves. I think he could rejuvenate a winning culture here.

The problem isn’t the culture.
The problem is the farm system.

Swanson didn’t progress fast enough. Though Albies could be something. But the Braves have one of the worst systems in baseball.

If Girardi wasn’t the right man to handle a young emerging roster in New York, he damn sure ain’t the guy in Atlanta.

It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

I'm fukking with you breh:skip:I could see A Rod as a hitting coach in NY in a few years, if he even has any desire to come back to the game in a coaching capacity. The relationship between him and the Yankees organization is gonna need years of rehabilitation before that could ever happen, though. The funny thing is, I already see fans embracing him post-retirement.
