The fact that a guy from a proudly fascist family can come on, talk about his life, and not once have to face a question about the fascism or racism is the whole point. Rogan is like a gateway drug to a lot of horrible people, he builds up their profile, makes them look good, increases their influence, and then insecure little white boys end up going down a rabbithole that we've seen where it leads.
Larry King is a great comp, just weak. Larry King had whatever idiots and a$$holes and dictators and fascists come on his show because they knew he was completely uninformed and would only ask softball questions, so they could push whatever narrative they wanted without challenge. Larry King did get some hate, but not as much as Rogan just because King didn't really move the needle for anyone like that. He was just another guy with a cable show. Joe Rogan's loyal audience is larger and more devoted so when he has guys promoting bullshyt on his show it has a more significant impact.
