Way too late for the GOP to do anything about Trump at this point. Their only hope is that he voluntarily drops out, and even that would be a shytstorm.

I won't count Trump out just yet (after all I didn't expect him to win the primary) but most likely the GOP base threw this election away when they picked him.

Every media outlet has been doing this to him the entire election cycle because they know that Trump means ratings. People will tune in to your station if you consistently have access to that idiots most recent ramblings.

Remember: the media is kinda like Vampires. They avoid the light and thrive in the darkness of this world, and they feed on the lifeblood of others. And when the story is done they toss the body into the bushes. And in a sick twist of fate, occasionally the victims become either the media themselves or another story that they can feed off of until they're bored again.
