Joell Ortiz has singed a new deal with Penalty Entertainment for the release of his third album House Slippers. It is expected to release in Summer of 2014 and will be executive produced by The Heatmakerz. Says Joell about the deal:

I truly believe it’s going to be a big year for Joell Ortiz. Neil Levine over at Penalty gets it and is giving me, the Yaowa, a platform to do exactly what I wanna do…ME!

Joell Ortiz is very talented mc. He should be much bigger. Hopefully he takes it to the next level with this album.

I don't know about the Heatmakerz. They made few classic records in the past, but their shyt can get repetitive and generic though sometimes.

I'm looking forward to this album though. Ortiz is criminally underrated. He reminds me of Andre Ward, one of the best out there, but not very visible.
