Would cats be less annoyed with Joey Badass if he just rhymed and made his same exact music, but just didn't focus on the marketing/gimmick of the 90's stuff.

The way he flows kind of makes his shyt hard to listen to. Its like he crams too many words into each bar. Combine that with his monotone delivery, it just sounds like noise honestly.

Double that up with the goofy ass marketing/gimmicks....

Like, ground zero of rappping should be developing a flow that is easy to follow. NOT SIMPLE, but not all bunched up and monotone like this. I guarantee dude's bars look crazy on paper, but they aren't written in a way that is good for listening.
