Boyega is a talented actor so Im going to give the breh a chance. There was a lane to get an American actor though.
Aldis Hodge would have been great in this. Who cares if he is too old. Otis looked like he was in his mid 30s anyway despite being in his 20s.

Jonathan Majors would have crushed this role. Could have saved on the wardrobe budget as well.

On one hand I actually hate that Majors lost the role to self-inflicted bullshyt. On the other hand I know this flick will be so relegated to dead on arrival Uber-niche cinema that nothing was really lost. Hollywood is not taking these black entertainer biopics seriously.
