Since y'all keep talking about making the thread...lets get it

so let’s get to this week’s topic about the latest comments from ex-WWE stars about John Cena. I suppose this all kicked off when former Spirit Squad member Kenn Doane made some allegations about Cena after his wife filed for divorce. Doane claims that Cena and Doane’s ex, Mickie James, had an affair when all 3 of them were contracted to WWE and that it had a part to play in how their careers have panned out.

In an interview with sescoops.com a few weeks ago, Doane said:

“I get jobbed out then they take me off the road more and fire me. When Johnny Ace called me to fire me, I asked him if this is why I’m getting fired. He told me ‘We don’t have anything for you and depending on whether you choose to discuss this issue will determine on if you’re allowed to come back in the future (so basically if I mention Cena and Mickie, then I’m banned)… I go back everytime they’re in my area and they always say the same thing (we like you, we’ll call you in a week) then never call me at all… Let’s go back a little bit shall we? So now I’m gone from WWE and Mickie and Cena are banging full time… Mickie becomes champ, gets TV roles and gets attached too. John… breaks it off for whatever reason and Mickie flips out, cries all over backstage… and it looks really bad. She now loses her title and jobs out and becomes Piggy James, then gets fired… When I was there in November, I was actually excited to talk with John and I wanted to bury this. He walked by and I put my hand out and said ‘Hey, you got a minute?’. He didn’t shake my hand and said ‘for you, absolutely not’”

A report by The Pro Wrestling Torch...

Vince McMahon noted in a recent interview with the Boston Herald that he held a talent meeting a few years ago urging his performers to \"reach for the brass ring\" regardless of whom they have to step over. He particularly recalled John Cena approaching him at the end of the meeting to say, \'I\'m your man.\'

The interview caught the attention of an anonymous wrestler who attended the meeting. He said there were actually five wrestlers who came over to McMahon following the meeting to say they were the right man for the job.

\"The only difference is that Cena did his \'stepping over guys\' in the locker room more than the ring,\" said the wrestler.

The anonymous wrestler feels McMahon was looking for a \"backstabbing a$$hole/stooge\" to serve as his top WWE Superstar.

\"It has zero to do with in-ring talent,\" the wrestler said. \"Cena stepped on guys like the Spirit Squad and others who were only there for less than six months.\"

It's on his 2nd interview he did with Edge which came out recently.

Jericho or Edge (or both) said they were fighting for Wade Barrett to go over in that Summerslam elimination tag match because of how hot the Nexus was at the time but Cena had other ideas. He wanted to get the DDT on the floor, then kick out and eventually beat both Justin Gabriel and Wade Barrett.

A year ago Alex Riley found himself on television weekly and was getting a fairly large push after breaking away from being The Miz's apprentice.

In the fall, Riley began appearing on television less and less. When he did appear, he would not be booked in a favorable way.

PWInsider.com is reporting the push got halted due to an incident with John Cena. Reportedly, Cena was ribbing Riley in front of other wrestlers and Riley came back at Cena very angrily. When Riley reacted this way, it was viewed by many as him breaking the locker room code and nature among the boys.
it took alex riley 3 years to finally get back in the ring again after being m..i.a. and doing alil announcing

Cena forcing Tyler Reks to stop using the "Burning Hammer" as a finisher

Wrestling INC: I have to ask about your issues about John Cena, and him lashing out at you for using the Burning Hammer finisher. What happened there?

Tuft: Well, we were at a house show and I was working Eddie Colon, who I knew pretty well. We were second or third on the card and I was going over using the Burning Hammer. When I put him up, he's supposed to be looking at the ceiling. It's like a moonsault for him and a sitout DDT for me. I don't know what we did, we were hurrying or something. He didn't land on his stomach, he landed on his back and it kind of looked like an F-U (Attitude Adjustment.) We were like, "oh crap, John Cena is going to be pissed." We got to the back and John Cena was looking at a monitor and was just like, "ah, Reks. You're going to have to find a new finisher." He kind of smirked at me and I thought he was joking. I told him, "yeah man, sorry about that. It kind of got screwed up and we'll make it right tomorrow." I thought he was suggesting we get it right, not to make it look like his.

Personally I think the Burning Hammer-- my version of it-- looks way better than an F-U (laughs). I had approval from Vince and Arn and everybody. In a pre-session Arn asked me what my finisher was, and I said a Burning Hammer. He was like "It's a WHAT?!" and Dustin/Goldust goes, "here man I'll help you with it." Arn asked if he was sure, and we had this whole thing where agents were watching and John Cena was at the announce table and they had me give it to a bunch of different guys. Arn asked if Goldust was okay, and he said yes and it was easy to take. Arn said I was cleared to use it, and nobody said anything.

I used it at Bragging Rights 2010 and John was literally across the ring from me when I hit Santino Marella with it and never said anything to me then. I'd been using it for 8 months on Superstars and everything before all this. I come backstage happy after a good match with Eddie all excited and John grabs me in front of everyone and says, "what do you think you're doing? I thought I told you to get a new finisher." I said, "yeah, I thought you were joking John. We hit it wrong last night. I'm really sorry." He started yelling at me asking who gave me permission to use that. He belittled me, called me an idiot, and asked me if I enjoyed working here. I told him of course I do. He told me, "find another finisher or you're fired." I was humiliated, I was a full-grown man, why can't we talk about this like human beings?

I went outside to cool down, and I was ready to quit, to walk out. That didn't seem like a healthy workplace environment. I came back in and John Cena was sitting there by the curtain and I figured that I'd cooled off and he'd cooled off so I'll try to apologize one more time. I said, "John, I'm super sorry about this. I really thought it was just a miscommunication." He looks over at me and says, "what was there to be miscommunicated? I asked you to stop using that finisher, are you stupid?" He wouldn't even allow me to apologize. Finally I was just like, yeah, I'll find another finisher. He and I never really talked after that. That's the whole story of John Cena making me feel like a six year old boy.

2008: The Marine angry at The GOAT One for taking the Hollywood route and disses him, starting their feud

Cena, who has managed to combine acting and grappling, feels that Rocky has betrayed his fans by concentrating solely on Hollywood.

Rock will make a one-off appearance at this year's WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony to induct his dad and granddad, but John told us: "He is a genuinely nice guy and a fantastic human being.

"What I kind of get peeved about, and this is my Achilles heel, is that I've wanted to do this my whole life.

"Rock falls into that category. At one point he loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life.

"So explain to me why he can't come back.

"Simply put it's because he wants to be an actor and there's nothing wrong with that. He's very good and very successful. Associating with sports entertainment doesn't do much for his acting career. I get it.

"Just don't f*** me around and tell me that you love this.

"That's the only thing that gets me really p***ed off.

"Our fan base have so much admiration for him, he's got to respect that. He doesn't give anything back."
Dwayne doesn't give anything back :duck:

Michael Tarver On Problems With John Cena
John Cena was brought up. Michael said working with Cena was amazing. Cena was a superstar. He did say he could not stand the guy, but that Cena could wrestle and he was as good as CM Punk or Chris Benoit. But getting to know him was not great. Cena treated Michael Tarver "like crap". Cena had unlimited power in the WWE. He could make or break young wrestlers no matter who they were. He felt that he could stand toe to toe with John Cena on promos and in the ring. He felt he was not as good as Punk or Daniel Bryan. Cena did not shake his hand on some occasions. There was the chair incident at a PPV where Cena hit Michael extremely hard. He had past injuries which made him a bit vulnerable, so he put his arm up to protect himself and Cena broke his arm with the chair shot. Cena was not careful and didn't take care of him. After the match, you shake everyone's hand, but Cena did not shake his hand after that match, but just walked away with a laugh. Michael felt slighted at that. Cena asked him about the arm but Tarver told him it was fine, which Cena laughed at again and then walked off. Michael thought that Cena should have remembered that he was once a rookie as well, and forgot where he had started. Michael said he was targeted as the guy with the bad attitude from the beginning. That carried over and stuck with him throughout his tenure with the company, which he called very powerful a number of times. Michael noticed this early on. He feels he did everything right, practicing, promos, showing up early, but it was all for naught as he was labeled a bad guy early on.

JTG can't see that merch $$$

"As I grew up watching wrestling, I idolized Bret "The Hitman" Hart. I wanted to
follow in his footsteps, and to emulate his career. Bret had a customized, cool jacket,
so I had to have customize, cool jacket too. Brett Hart had his signature shades, so
naturally I wanted my own signature shades as well.

On October 26, 2008, at last it seemed like that dream was finally coming true. I
debuted my trademark "Yo, Yo, Yo!" shades in front of millions at the Cyber Sunday
Pay-Per-View event at the US Airways Arena in Phoenix, AZ. The next step in fulfilling
my dream was to get the shades in the hands of the WWE Universe. The demand for
the shades was very real.
After showcasing the shades, in true Hitman fashion I took them off and gave
them to a fan. Fans in every arena around the globe would ask me where they could
get a pair.

Finally, after months of conversations with the lead coordinator of WWE
Merchandise, we finally got approval for the shades to go into production. Soon they
would be on WWE merch shelves at every arena. (Cue Louie Anderson in Coming to
America: "And that's when the big bucks start rolling in.")
Before you get all excited for me, curb your enthusiasm for a moment. Let's
rewind to a totally unrelated circumstance a few weeks earlier...don't worry, I'm going
somewhere with this...

I received a phone call from the WWE magazine and was asked to do an
interview about Cryme Tyme. During the interview, the writer asked me to give him a
few words to describe my relationship with Shad.
My response was "friendship, bond, loyalty, respect..." and then I caught myself.
I quickly asked the interviewer to refrain from putting the words "loyalty" and "respect"
in the same sentence. He replied "Okay, I understand. I get it. I know how some of you
guys can be sensitive about your gimmicks and catchphrases."
Fast forward back to a few weeks later. That same day I got the green light for
my shades... was also the same day I got the red light! The interview was released in
WWE Magazine, and guess what it said. I don't even need to waste time spelling it out,
do I?
I was in a bathroom at the TD Bank North Garden Arena in Boston, MA, using
the throne. I heard a voice over the stall, "Hey, JTG? Is that you in there? I was reading
the latest WWE magazine. Interesting article with you and your tag team partner. Nice
choice of words."

I already knew where he was going with this. I immediately started to plead my
case. I told him that a lot of the article was embellished, and that I told the writer not to
use those two words, especially not in the same sentence.
I finally came out of the stall. He looked me dead in my eyes and said, "You
might be telling the truth. The magazine guys are known for putting words in peoples' mouths to make an exciting article. They've done that a few times to me also. But there
still has to be consequences and repercussions. This can't go unpunished. You know
those cool shades that you have coming out? We're gonna have to put those on hold.
That will make us 'Even Steven.'"
Just like that, in the blink of an eye, quicker than a hiccup, it was over. The Lord
giveth and the Lord taketh away. To this day those shades are still on hold. Sorry I let
you down, Bret.
"
