Mexico :wow:

John Deere has announced multiple rounds of layoffs in recent months, primarily citing a struggling farm economy and reduced demand for its agricultural equipment. These layoffs have affected facilities across Iowa and in other locations like Moline and East Moline, Illinois. The company has stated that these workforce reductions are not directly related to production shifts to Mexico.

Electricity prices are high in the United States for any company to make money in the production of anything. China is taking away sales from Caterpillar & John Deere in heavy machinery worldwide. Both companies will eventually fold or just support the United States & Canada

Yeah, Trump threatened John Deere directly before he was even elected

They said fukk it, we'll move the whole company :manny:

edit: and yeah, it still baffles me how Americans were like "Naaahhh he not gonna do all the shyt he saying. He's only gonna do it to 'them' and not us"

I guess folks were too busy dealing with COVID to pay attention during his last term :francis:

The products aren't what anyone has an issue with. It's the forced right-to-repair issues that states wound up suing them for.

And the little part they won't tell you is that they've taken a page from Apple and you can't do repairs on it yourself, you're locked into an agreement when you buy it to have only them service whatever you get.
And with planned obsolescence built in, you're lucky to get 2-3 years before serious repairs/parts maintenance kicks in, if that.

It is the product , stop dancing around the issues. You buy an expensive piece of equipment & the company forces you into a right to repair. Apple has been doing the same sh!t with their equipment & people still continue to buy it
