John Wall 29pts 13ast 9stl in DC debut vs Evan Turner 76ers 2 Nov 2010 - YouTube

Wizards vs. Lakers: John Wall highlights - 22 points, 14 assists (12.7.10) - YouTube

how does he go from that to where he is now. i remember he dropped 28 and 9 on the road in ATL in the second game of his career (including two late threes) that almost got us over the line. He followed up the next night in his DC debut with 29 and 13 and 9 steals in a win over Philly. A week later when he notched a triple double (19-13-10) and 6 steals in a win over Houston.

smh..

Wizards player development :why: :to:

the coaching just reinforces what he can't do... like don't shoot threes for example

but I blame John a lot more because great players can dwarf coaching. We don't hear stories of John opening Verizon at 4 AM to put in work like Gilbert used to do. We hear John works hard... and he had a shooting coach, but his form is the same. I think he isn't internalizing the teachings and he isn't as diligent even if he puts in the hours

John Wall can still be a great basketball player, he's only 22 years old but he HAS to practice and work on his jump shot, period. He needs to develop a consistent form (his form is TERRIBLE right now) and put up hundreds of shots daily. But that takes countless hours in the gym and to me it seems like John just lacks the motivation and work ethic to become a great basketball player. Your shot only gets worse if you don't care about making it better and that's obvious with John at this point. There's really no excuse to be a professional basketball player and your shot gets WORSE.

it summarized what i've been thinking since the beginning of last season

like a fear you didn't want to become reality

i for sure thought his J would improve from his rookie year. just a couple mechanical changes and a million shots.

hundreds? breh, he needs to hit 1,000 jumpers a day. Not take, MAKE 1,000 jumpers a day. It has to become muscle memory and making it has to be positive reinforcement. Its the only way.

And I will give him a pass based on the knee injury delaying him. If he was shooting like this back in November with no injury, the Wizards should have looked into trading him by the deadline.

And if there is no injury and his shot is broke next February, the Wizards should trade him.

Yeah, it doesnt seem like he cares.

He really did look better on his return, but he has regressed to the mean the last 3 weeks.

If he ever wants to reach his potential, this summer is it. If not, dude will go down as a super bust.

Yeah.

Its ironic because Wall was billed as the "next D.Rose but better" and in his first game against him, Rose stepped on Walls foot and broke it. Since then Wall hasnt been the same player.

So rose is the reason he cant shoot :pachaha:

Looks at your location :upsetfavre:
