I'm not even too crazy about the film itself but this is one of his best performances and memorable characters.

Apparently Rodriguez basically gave him complete freedom to do what he wanted with the character and I remember there was even talk of giving his character a full film of his own as a blind Zatoichi style gunslinger. shyt would've been better than Machete at least.
