Say what you will about the incredible self-indulgence of Johnny's matches (and boy do I have a lot to say about that...), I can't deny that he really cares about this wrestling shyt. Nobody else in that room cared at all, but Johnny was absolutely locked in from the moment Bray's music hit. No wonder the rest of them basically don't have careers that actually go anywhere.

I'm reminded of that Daniel Bryan quote about guys and girls that would rather sit in the back and eat catering than have a Superstars match and hone their skills. I get it: WWE has a unique way of killing your passion, but damn, can you at least pretend to care about your craft?

I remember checking the watch along for the Kofi vs Bryan match at Mania. Gargano and Kendrick were the only ones laser focused really watching the match, like trying to understand the story and how the fukk D-Bry and Kofi were creating that amazing match they had.

Johnny had a similar reaction, like he was amazed at how two dudes were having the crowd go nuts with very simple stuff and never relying on excesive shyt like too many moves and nearfalls.

And then he had those matches with Adam Cole that were even more excessive than the first one
