HBO tried mad hard to get this as a tv show before Game of Thrones, guess they had eyes on a bigger prize. Hope it works, JGL da gawd

Reading the plot on wiki isn't going to do it justice definitely with comics where half is visual.

The first book was okay but book two, The Doll's House, is where Neil begins to hit his stride. The books really kept my engaged and not wanting to put them down. If you appreciate a good story and can read a comic that is heavy in talking and light in action, then I highly recommend it.

nah I don't like comics at all, if it don't make for a good cartoon...real comic fans seem excited though,i usually look to them to tell me if a comic movie will be garbage or not...then I go on to ignore them when they nitpick about every inaccuracy when the movie comes out

It's not for everybody, but it would've made a dope HBO cartoon like Spawn did.

Sandman is one of the greatest comic series of all time and makes Gaiman a name that should be mentioned amongst the greatest writers of all time. The layers in the story, the timeless references to literature, old and new, the influences, all of it...

There's no way they won't fukk this up unless Gaiman somehow manages to get the same control over the movie property as he has over the comic.

I'm excited, but disappointed. This should be an HBO series. I know HBO had it and let it go. There's too much story to tell and this needs to be rated R. But this movie is gonna need a 150 million dollar budget don't know if Warners has the balls to make a 150 million dollar rated R movie that doesn't have Ridley Scott, the Wachowskis, or someone of that caliber in the directing seat.
