We got with the times, hired Trestman, and dedicated to becoming a team that could score points consistently. Retaining Cutler was an absolute must for the vision of our team

Exactly ... especially considering the Bears have done a good job locking up talent around Cutler. It would have been a massive step back to go with another QB
