Someone basically asked El*n to buy twitter. That "someone" is most likely Peter th*el. What basically happened is this: el*ns trans daughter cut him off, and he started to blame the BLM movement and what he calls "wokeness" for it. Then, he probably talked to Peter th*el about it, and he convinced El*n to buy twitter. Peter th*el owns white nationalist outlets like Rumble and palantir. I think th*el wanted to turn twitter far right after seeing the 2020 protests.

That said, it's nice to know why but we should be more focused on coming up with alternatives and solutions and more than that, actual logistics for creating a rival platform, not just the technical or the financial aspect but the marketing and so on.

That said, it's nice to know why but we should be more focused on coming up with alternatives and solutions and more than that, actual logistics for creating a rival platform, not just the technical or the financial aspect but the marketing and so on.

The alternatives are pretty much Threads, Bluesky, Hive Social, Mastodon and Spill. Threads and Bluesky are pretty much guarantee to be the proper alternatives, while others fulfill different niches, Hive Social will be the Tumblr (while taking inspirations from Twitter, Instagram and MySpace), Spill favors black Twitter and Mastodon pretty much be it's own thing.
