On why Shelton Benjamin never became a world champion:

“Part of that is Shelton’s fault. He was making really good money, he had a really good spot on the team, but he wasn’t at the top of the roster, but when he worked with a top guy, he killed it. But when he got his opportunities, maybe they were ill-timed or he was ill-prepared, whatever, he didn’t hit a home run on a mic as he hit in the ring. So we needed to protect him or fix that. But, here’s the thing nowadays, it’s not a 100 percent, but I can say at least 90, if you’re not talking, you’re not getting over.”

Okay, this shyt is making me heated already.

Now, I stan for Shelton and he can't talk for shyt, but Shelton is probably aside from Angle, the MOST Athletic person on the roster that could also protect and enhance talent. WWE has pushed talent with bad mic skills, but given them solid bad guy roles. Shelton, after his WGTT, was given goofy/corny roles...

Shelton is an ATHLETE not an Actor. If Blue Dot Ass Cream Christian can get one title run, then Shelton should have been given the belt at least once, but then you know WWE would pull some retarded Kane shyt on him for his first feud.

This is the kind of shyt where it pisses me off with WWE, because they have too much good talent, but dumbfukk retards that need to be shot up because they try to write Hollywood stuff, that match in line with Vince & Upper Management's Muscle Mass fetish that they jerk off too.

Like I said, Shelton would need a manager, which ANY normal wrestling promotion would give him, but this is the WWE and your playing in Vince's lake.

Straight bullshyt if he was a white guy with Shelton in ring ability they would have found a way.

He easily could have been Bret Hart status and Bret wasn't great on the mic until he became heel...but he could have easily been on some excellence of execution type guy where they talk up his unstoppable in ring ability

Shelton is an example of the political nature of wwe choosing whoever they want and not based on talent or ability.

You can make a 10 page thread on all the people you can fantasy book into main event roles throughout WWF/WWE history that never reached their potential
