With Cam's efforts, JR said he found himself between bidding wars with labels and ended up signing with Koch Records and released his first album History in the Making. "That album was number two in the country. It would've been number one if it wasn't forβrest in peaceβPimp C." JR told DJ Vlad, "It did great numbers. They was happy over [at Koch Records]."
