I paid full price for it and was satisfied. It's a Tales of game. If you've played more than 1 of them you likely know how you feel about the series. It isn't the best or the worst. It's a very generic middle of the pack Tales of game. I happen to like the series though.

Never played vesperia , but it probably has a way better combat style than zestiria. I dont think its a bad game but I wasnt feeling the gameplay when it came to fighting.

How the story?

The story is serviceable at best. I don't think I've played a Tales game with a good story though. I mostly play for the combat, characters, and skits. Edna is the only great character in the game. The antagonist is pretty lackluster. Overall the story is probably the worst aspect of the game.

No this game is about character fusions and element weaknesses.

The combat is probably better than Vesperia, but def a downgrade story wise. Not to say the story is terrible, but its typical JRPG where at least Vesperia had kind of an edge to it. I have this on steam and enjoyed it. I played until that part near the end where you gotta sidequest before the final boss and gave up thats just on me though, I liked the game and prob will go back and finish it.

There's not much to hate about the game. It's a middle of the road Tales game. If you want a hateable Tales game try Legendia. That was a turd.
