He did admit Holiday had a better career, but this brings on a bigger discussion. Player A puts up good numbers as the main option, but their team sucks and they don’t make the All-Star team while player B puts up okay numbers as a second option and they make the All-Star team because their team has a great record. Does that mean player B is better?

Jrue Holiday almost shoots 3 pointers at the same percentage Brandon Jennings shot overall.

Holiday is the better shooter, better passer, better defender, better teammate

Brandon Jennings best season is 19ppg 5 assists
Jrue Holiday has had like 5 seasons better than that statistically

Not necessarily but the problem with that question in this scenario is Holiday put up better numbers than BJ while being on better teams lol

I wonder what it is about basketball that creates these massive egos.

I rarely hear a quarterback or a shortstop rant or whine in retirement about respect. Or claim they were better than so-and-so.

It makes these basketball players look so lame.

NFL players say crazy statements it’s just that we don’t care about their opinions like we do former players with the exception of like the immortal guys.

Like Simeon rice really thought he could play in the nfl at 43.

there's no 1v1 component in football or baseball for a QB or shortstop to talk that kinda shyt.

A big difference is that top level basketball players have a lot more experience playing against each other in non professional situations than any other sport. So you have scenarios where Player A has a better pro career but Player B feels like he was a better player because whenever he played without a pro structure he always outplayed him.

Also, basketball is like rap. Basketball culture is shyt talking and hyping yourself up more than any other sport outside of boxing.

It's just "pure hooper" babble, Brandon Jennings is a career 38% from the field and never even averaged 20 a game. Jrue Holiday is a career 46% while being the overwhelmingly better defender. Jrue is just the much more impactful NBA player period. I don't give a damn how many tween tween hesi crosses you can do.

Thank you. It's crazy how people keep forgetting that aspect that the 1 v 1 component in Basketball is different than most team sports
Basketball has alot of similarities of Boxing and Tennis where it's more about a player vs another player in matching skill for skill

Especially since there are only 10 players in the game at a time, and 1 player having more of an influence in a game than other team sports
