This thread is a classic example of why we can't have nice things.

Most people don't have an issue with remote hearings for the mundane side of legal proceedings. Having to drag your ass all the way to court for directions and minor applications would be regarded as a waste of time in most people's mind.

There isn't anything nefarious about it. If you want to attend the hearing in person, there isn't anything stopping you.

People agree to attend remotely because it is convenient. You don't get to accept something convenient under certain terms and then cry about those terms limiting your freedoms.

Pure fukking ignorance.

The crazy thing is when I did my lil 6 month bid in county I met so many young brehs in there that just couldn’t see why what they did was wrong. They’d always find justification with why they did what they did, like bruh what you did was illegal you’re rightfully in here and they just couldn’t accept it. Minds stuck on criminality cause that’s all they know. Some people are just too far gone, and won’t change. I’m not saying they can’t but damn man.

She was wrong and she’s lucky she got a lenient judge. I’ve seen judges max people out just for talking back too much. If you have Zoom court you have to be presentable in a well light area and you don’t over talk the judge. They can be petty mfers. This isn’t a court trial they have the final say on your penalties.
