A lot of the keyboard militants on here think black people are guiltless, as if we have no responsibility to take ownership of where we are in 2014. White people aren't forcing these black men to push a genocidal campaign against one another. I believe the violence in black communities across America has reached a crisis level. Drastic situations, and this certainly is one, call for drastic measures. Police in areas suffering from high levels of gun violence should be empowered to profile suspected offenders and search them. Those found in possession of an illegal firearm should be sentenced to a mandatory minimum of ten years in prison. You will see the gun violence drop almost overnight.

Well I work in the downtown area and see alltypes of women and you will plenty to chose from. As for the nightlife I can't say because I'm married and have a 5 yr old. I probably go out once a year.

Baltimore isn't very diverse. Its literally one big ass dump.

The Chi has the shytty areas and some of the more awesome areas in the world.

Is better to compare the southside to Baltimore since their similar amount of people and Chicago wins

Come on, man. You and I both know the people committing these crimes have a certain look. Baggy jeans loud labels bandanas some of them have dreads and others have short cuts. It's more about how they're dressed. And yes, innocent blacks who dress like that will be stopped and searched, sadly. That's an unfortunate byproduct of a necessarily drastic measure. Does that answer your question?

Also to add to what I've said the Chicago Police and the black community need a better relationship. There is not a lot of communication between the two because of the way the police treat black people in Chicago. Not everyone is a criminal and there are people who genuinely care about the community and crime but police are normally disrespectful when they are in our neighborhoods. I got pulled over a few months ago and the officer said get the fukk out of the car. It was me and my child. What they need to do is instead of paying for police overtime give that money to the nation of Islam and have those men patrol the neighborhoods. They don't have weapons on them. I grew up in the projects and I remember them coming in to take over security for our buildings and they did their damn job. They brokered peace between gangs, the helped women carry groceries and had an non violent approach to dealing with young black men.
