Negus is probably the greatest African of the 21st century so far.

Depending on how the next years go, he might put himself into the GOAT conversation :wow:

Interesting. I was just thinking about this a few hours ago. You have Kagame, Malema, Abiy, Lumumba (Jr.), Nana Akufo-Addo as the current, leading African (and competent) voices. Their predecessors: Lumumba (Sr.), Sankara, Zenawi, Nkrumah. If you could rank them, how would you?

NOTE: These are the African leaders that I currently know of that promoted Pan-Africanism, responsible governance, sovereignty, and complete removal from colonialism.

Lol chill. Breh has not held a position of leading a country like the others have. Right now you all just feel good hearing someone talk that talk.

There's not much competition so it is easy for him to claim the 21st century title so far. :yeshrug:

As I said, all that remains to be seen moving forward is if he can put himself in that GOAT conversation. He'd have to assume a greater position of leadership to do that, or otherwise spark something much more significant.
