2nd song "Nasty Work" has a decent enough beat and verse from Ras but theres no need for it to have this verse from Spit Gemz, who I dont know who that is but hes derivative to the max, everything he says is like a little variation of lines other rappers already said 20 years ago, its technically and structurally sound but dude doesn't sound like anything special to me, shoulda cut him off the song, maybe hes Ras artist idk.

I can't figure out what it is, but he doesn't sound as technically sound as he used to, from like '94-'98.
After the second album, he started really dumbing his sh*t down to the point where it seemed like he was more focused on making catchy sh*t, than having those verses you had to listen to 372 times to catch all the lines. Ras was so ill early on. Dude's just fallen off beyond recovery now, it seems.

Ras dropped a cool little E.P. its thematically tied together by his allegiance to the O.G. African Cat Set and National Geographic and news clip interludes and samples.
He aims his sights on a variety of targets and doesn't pull punches, I'd recommend this to Ras fans, I front to back'd it twice and enjoyed it.

Yeah I kinda know what you mean, I still enjoy Ras but its never gonna be another Soul On Ice, the incarcerations and being on the run and label bullshyt threw off all his momentum and he never got back to his full capabilities. Hes shown moments of greatness on pretty much every project hes released but I'll agree he hasn't had a full body of work that's of the same calibre as his first 2.5 albums
It's a quick listen but enjoyable, Ras needs to do what Daz had done and just make a 1000 records and just stockpile the best and put together a solid, cohesive body of work.
Hes gassing on here and there is a central theme but, Ras is spitting very scattered, hes hitting multiple topics rapid speed, I know he got some Interview With A Vampires left in him he just needs to focus in.
Not seeing his 1st 2 albums on spotify, I come across this a lot with various artists.
