Never do girlfriend activities with women who are not your committed girlfriend.
The best thing you could have done was order some takeout.
Which I feel is the only compromise for women you are not in a committed relationship with.
Never go out, or take out a woman out who is not your committal type.

If you were feeling her in a monogamous way.
I could see you taking her out to test drive whether she was wifey.
