A federal jury awarded a mother and her two daughters $8.25 million after they were unlawfully searched and handcuffed by Alameda County sheriff's deputies at a Castro Valley Starbucks on their way to taking one of the young women to a college math test in Berkeley.

“Reasonable suspicion” could be that the car isn’t registered in your name as was the case for this family. It’s too arbitrary of a standard to be policy across the board. Also why would the cops ask the women to “help them out” because of all the “thefts” in the parking lot. What did they have to do with that? Absolutely nothing!

This is why when ignorant brothers on this forum here say voting doesnt matter it gets me so angry. Guess Who appoints the federal judges that adjudicate and decide racial discriminatory cases like this everyday? The president. You can bet your last dollar a biden or an obama appointed judge would be more sympathetic to the plight of black litigants or victims of racial discrimination seeking justice in the courts that judges of the republican ilk wont, its a known fact.
