Celph Titled's flow got sloppier, his delivery is deeper pitched but it doesn't sound menacing it just sounds lazy, and his punchlines are much less hard hitting and memorable than they were before.
It all depends on what you like, so I agree to disagree. Opinions aside, I don't see how his flow got sloppier, technically if you listen to his earlier material he was off-beat and sloppy most of the time, as time went on especially up to post-2007 recent years, he got MUCH sharper:
^^^ How that could be considered sloppy, I don't know.
IMO, the deeper pitch doesn't sound lazy, I prefer the more "boss" style of delivery; I didn't like when he was overly trying to be hype and yell on his earlier stuff, it didn't come off hype to me, just forced... So it's just preference. The punchlines are still crazy though, maybe you've just become immune to them since you've heard so many... but on the most recent AOTP album "In Death Reborn", his punchlines are top notch on joints like "Broken Safeties" or "Ninkyo Dantai".... I mean come on, you're trying to say these schemes are weak?:

He's maintained the same level of writing... so just not sure what you mean... it just has to come down to preference at this point, and I just don't like the older stuff as much.
