In America? Maybe elsewhere, but for America it sounds beyond plausible. Cops lie all the time. Lawyers push poor people to plead guilty to shyt they didn't do just to rack up numbers. I don't know who TheNigerian is, but having an a$$hole lawyer tell a poor person that they don't need an attorney sounds right up America's legal system's alley.

Same shyt happened to me a few years back ...their job is to clear the court system as fast as possible and increase their conviction percentage. So they mislead and intimidate the poor into taking deals and getting records thatll fukk you over the next time you get into trouble with the law
