Watch part one here. Just Blaze and Young Guru sit down for an exclusive conversation on Hard Knock TV. In Part 2 Just Blaze and Young Guru start off talking about early Rocafella days and how they think there won’t be a conglomerate like that again for several reasons. As the interview continues they share stories of how Keep It Real Wednesdays came about and how producers would get laughed out of the studio if they didn’t bring their a game. Just Blaze goes on to say how he decided who got what beats including stories of how Cam’ron got the beat for Welcome to New York City so Jay-Z could jump on the track and how Just Blaze made the beat for Roc Da Mic for Freeway and then Beanie Sigel heard it and jumped on it.

Man, I swear I watch every Just and Guru interview about those past Roc Days. I feel they were the most level-headed dudes in that camp and probably would have the most un-biased opinions (ehhh to an extent we know they never goin say anything ill towards or about Jay).

They are the proverbial "fly-on the wall" in the Roc camp but were still much involved

They didnt really talk about Cam and the Roc too much. The only Cam story they told was the Welcome to New York City Record, which Just Blaze has went much more extensively into in a past interview. Actually he did mention the record was originally for Freeway but Cam needed a joint from him cause Jay finally agreed to do a record with him but only if they got it done that day.

They talked about some shyt they had called "Keep It Real Wednesdays". Where any producer ($50k/beat dudes to joe schmoe from the block) could come in and play beats on a boombox and they would get laughed at if the beat was whack or get a placement on an album.

Just also talked about his "beef" w/ Sparks, Sparks thought Just aint like him cause he was taken off some record w/ Freeway (I forget which one) but Just was saying that wasnt even his call and Beans took him off the record so he could get on it.

Just also talked about how it took him a year and half after being on the Roc to finally meet Jay. Jay would only mail his verses to him til that point.

Feels like Jay was a little threatened by Cam not only as a rapper but his closeness to Dame

wheres the rest of the interview? I remember Bleeks brother in the accident, and I remember the light promo for that Beans/Bleek album, in the cover jacket of 'The Reason'..or was it 'The Truth'? 'The Reason' was after 'State Prop 1' though, so maybe it was both.

not only that....But a certain people carry themselves in ways that make other people feel inferior..

Ironic that Cam and Dame don't even fukk with each other no more.

The cam situation is simple...

Jay wanted killa to kiss his ass and it wasn't happening
Did Jay tell you this? Did you observe this?

The more reasonable thing to guess (since guessing is the only thing you are doing) is that Jay, the owner of the company, demanded the respect an owner should receive from his employees. Being that Jay has a huge ego this was definitely something he demanded. And that Harlem nikkas were feeling themselves too much and not being grateful enough. So he cut them loose, cause they didn't need Hov (according to themselves) and he didn't need them.

It's well known that Cam is as cocky as they get and that Jay-z does not tolerate fukkery (unless he's controlling it like Tru Life) or disrespect.
Extremely bad match.

It was confirmed that Jay took the H to the Izzo beat from Cam...

Its a difference between respect and lil nikka treatment...

Its no different than a nikka who is starstruck to be in front of a dimepiece...

When the broad meets a nikka who aint kissing her ass,her ego gets hurt..

And jay ego was simply hurt
