Gonna try my hand at photography. The camera I bought came with a 18-55mm lens. I mainly wanna do macro and landscape photography. Any tips, tricks, and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Tip #1:
Take that shyt back to the store and get a Mirrorless camera instead.

Buy like 2 16 gig cards or 1 32 and just shoot your heart out! I learned most of what I know watching YouTube videos and talking to OG’s who have been shooting for years. Invest in an off camera flash. You can find amazon basics flashes for 30 and under. Go to the local park and practice as much as you wantGonna try my hand at photography. All jokes aside, All the major camera companies are moving away from DSLRs and focusing on mirrorless systems going forward. Your DSLR is cool for now as far as learning how to shoot, but when you get comfortable and want to expand your lens collection, switch to Mirrorless.
Yep... learn the different settings and you can kill people with full frame cameras with your lower end joint. This is the truth.DSLR’s are just fine. I’m a pro and I haven’t gone mirrorless yet. Your creativity is what matters, not your camera body
