First apple computer? If so is worth it?

nah not my first but i have not bought a new one since 2007 ...but it depends on what you need it for. I can't really justify buying a $1200+ laptop if you just are going to use it to check email, browse the web...ect, ect. I use it for music production/graphic design so i have a specific need for some programs exclusively for mac. But if you have the money, its one of the best laptops money can buy...seriously, it is lightning fast and the retina display is beautiful. I got the 13.3 inch and it weighs close to nothing. :ohlawd: So if you have the money, go for it...if not try lenovo or acer, they make superior ultrabooks for alot less.

How is it? I'm thinking about copping it next month.

Its worth every penny...only downside is if you buy the 2013 retina models...they cannot be upgraded at all after you purchase it...so choose wisely. I recommend the 8gig / 256 ssd version and not the baseline 4gig/ 160 ssd because it will at least be future proof but be ready to drop $1500+ on it

They improved the cooling, has vents on the bottom and the back of it. I hear the fan working sometimes but it never gets hot...so far.

I think only one model has the dedicated graphics card and it's the most expensive version of the 15" which is over $2,500

I would neva cop a retina macbook breh. You cant touch em up. I bought a mid level 13inch jawn n upgraded the RAM and SSD myself.

Got that 16gb and a extra SSD, my mac running on steroids :ohlawd: :wow:

I dunno breh, I'm loving the screen resolution...it's definitely a downside I can't upgrade the hard drive tho. But I have 16gb of ram and a 500gb ssd. I'm good
