I won't act like they are totally off base. I keep watching cause there are def some gems.

Yeah basically, it could be some self published bs, take the Secret for example , pure woo and fairy dust. Scientific studies actually have some merit, as the publishing process is quite rigorous, verified and challenged by multiple people in the field.
