Final season was pretty dark. It didn't capture the tone of the entire series, I don't think, but I can understand why they did it the way they did.

Season 5 was weak (I think... hard to remember which season is which when they kept breaking up every season into two parts), but they came back nicely with 6 and 7.

I thought Madeline's death was completely pointless and was only there to add some emotional weight to the finale.

I'd love for them to do a few more made-for-TV movies. You could do one starring Sam & Jesse or only Michael & Fiona or bring the whole gang back together.

I see what you mean but I think them taking it a bit darker was the eventual conclusion to the whole series. After so many missions and being torn into so many directions would eventually take a toll on Michaels psyche. As well as putting a lot of pressure on Fiona and his mom.

And I agree about his mom, kind of left me like :blink:
