Just finished Carlito's Way, Why do people idolize these people?

I can't remember the movie too well, Gail wasn't visitin Carlito was she? As I recall she was like fukk that Puerto Rican and kim, and he over in like she was puttin money on the books and smugglin in that work.

Nope, the first time Steffie talks to him about if he had a girl, it's a chick on the dance floor he's paying attention to that looks like Gail and that's when he tracks her down.

Benny was funny as shyt to me, if I was Carlito I wouldn't of been beefin wit dude I just woulda told him to keep the gangsta shyt out of the club since I was tryna be a legit businessman. Then I woulda told the ugly breh Luis to make sure him and the goons make quick work of him if he brought gangsta shyt to the club. Then I woulda just went back to my office to blow Stephy's back out.

That's the thing, Benny wasn't on that shyt until Carlito pretty much on him.

First time they meet, Benny introduces himself, asks for 2 minutes of his time, to talk about what he's doing, Carlito gives him the then talks shyt about him when they're walking away.

Then this happens



All Carlito had to do was the first time they met, tell Benny that he wasn't about that life anymore and keep it moving.

He was on that half way shyt, saying he's out the game but surrounding himself with that life.

You're done with the game but you're gonna start shyt with a young dude in the game that gives no fukks over some slut like Steffie?

You not about that life anymore but you gonna tell Benny next time you see him you're gonna kill him? He tells you to kill him now because next time he sees you he's gonna be about that action and you still let him free?

You're trying to get out but you fukking around with Dave's shyt with the Russians?

Like he said, he wasn't seeing the angles anymore.

When you get to that point, don't even dip a toe in the pool

people disregard the ending....the want to live the fist hour of those movies over and over...

I also think people look at how bland and boring their life is and say, "If I could reach those heights, the ending is worth it "

Pretty much, Carlito was one of stupidest ogs I ever seen in a movie ever. I've known ex-cons in my life tho, they can be unpredictable in that they'll drop endless gems and jewels on you and still do some dumb shyt so I guess his character is realistic at least. I'm just sayin, he had the GOAT set up for a dude gettin out after all that time, a young thang that was tryna fukk at all times, a swanky club to get paid off of, goons s your security, but instead this fool want to chase a bytch that left him for dead and fukk with a young nikka in the game just cuz he jealous he gotta go straight, and to top it off you see your lawyer degenerating into a coked up would-be criminal and decide to get in on his shenanigans?

Like I said, I woulda just told Benny to keep the gangsta shyt out of the club, alerted my goons to watch him for any funny business, grab Stephy on some Scorpion shyt and get to the office, let her inhale my dikk under the desk while I count my loot. He coulda did exactly what he wanted to do but he just wanted to fukk himself over. Son was a real idiot.....

And Carlito's Way was far more entertaining. Scarface wasn't as good as people hype it up to be, even on a pure Entertainment level.

Carlito's Way did it right and far better than Scarface on every level.

Probably the most depressing gangster movie I've ever seen. Why do people love these gangsters when their lives all become garbage in the end, usually with bullets ripping through their internal organs. There is nothing romantic about death, or life without peace of mind.

Funny how Scarface was a movie about what NOT to do in a gangster life but Scarface wannabes wanted to/tried to do everything good and bad he did.
