I really don't see why is considered as "that game" that comes with the ffxv, and some people are saying it's a bad game 
It does have some flaws that can be attributed to its portable roots (ton of loading screens
), the real-time cutscene direction and writing. The overworld and towns are straight trash too. And some of the voice acting, especially cinque 
but it's hard not to forgive those flaws when the combat is action rpg heaven
. The game never feels stale since you're constantly switching between 14 varied characters. My personal favorite was ace with that jackpot shot and wild card 
. Not to mention the summons (Bahamut tera flare 
). The pre-rendered cutscenes are really good, much better than the awkward real time cutscenes. I also really liked the mgs 2 level of fukkery with that last chapter. BUT THAT ENDING WHAT THE fukk
