Just found who my 3x great grandfather is...

Was on facebook and my cousins friend posted this on her page

I found one of your ancestors, Reuben Parker, in a slave manifest (he's #9) - from Maryland to New Orleans on May 14, 1845. The trader, William H. Williams, has a nasty record, some of which relates to the jail he owned in Washington, DC. It was the same jail where Solomon Northrup ("12 years a Slave") was held before he was taken to New Orleans just 4 years earlier.

Amazing and exciting find, I didn't know anyone past my mom's parents. always wondered who my ancestors were and where they came from. Only 14 yrs old.

I'll assume that father born in the 60s, grandfather in the 30s, 1x great in the 1900s, 2x great in the 1870s, 3x great in the 1840s

1845 + 65 = 1910
1910 + 65 = 1975
1975 + 65 = 2040

1845 his great grandpa was 14.

that would mean OP was born in 2006.

now, it is possible that his decadence had children younger that 20, that was just a number i through out there...in than case OP would have been born before 2006.

I found out the identity of people who created the matriarch of my paternal tree. I'm not going to say the name because I want to protect my family's identity, but the family was a slave-owning native American tribe that allowed a white man into their tribe. One of his sons had an affair with a Black/Native woman. She was given to a family friend that owned slaves to hide her identity, however, as a promise from her father, the friend gave my 4x great-grandmother manumission. That grandmother married my great-grandfather, a Black/Native man from another tribe, in Chickasaw Territory, Northern Mississippi, before removal(Trail of Tears)... They ended up in Oklahoma where a lot of my family still resides....

Found out my great grandfather was filthy rich Well, maybe not filthy rich, but he was pretty rich, especially during those times.
