Just got back from the dealers and rodents have been chewing at my transmission.

:scust:nikkas car is a rest haven for rodents :scust:...

Dealership told me charger scat packs and Hellcats being low to the ground and having very hot engines can sometimes attract them.

Asked him why my Camry never experienced this and that was also his answer. Camrys don’t get as hot and aren’t as low to the ground.

I remember doing a claim for a mechanical breakdown and at the dealership in Larchmont we turn the car on hear a crying noise. Come to find out a family of rodents got caught in the belts and were ripped apart.
They made a nest under the hood and come to find out they kept attacking her cables and wire harness over and over. She said even when she park somewhere else, they come back.

Rodents living in cars a big issue for some folks

Unusual rodent engine problem has suddenly become 'super common'

Last month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned of unusual or aggressive rat behavior caused, in part, by many restaurants shutting down during the pandemic. Rodents depend a lot on the tossed-out food scraps from restaurants.

Now the varmints are searching elsewhere for food and your engine could be it. Some car brands, such as Toyota, use soy-coated wiring, which can be a delicious treat to a rodent.

Also, in cold weather, a car is a source of heat for mice, rats, squirrels, woodchucks and opossums. That's usually the time of year when Sirgany sees the most engine damage. The creatures crawl in the engine to keep warm and chew on the car's wiring while in there, wrecking havoc on the electrical system.
