Give me some tips, Coli breh's. What are some things I should do if I'm a n00b? What weapons / armors should I get off the bat? What missions to do? Where should I go? How should I level up? please help me enjoy this game.

Do a few story missions and then just explore, collect and do side missions and witcher contracts. Game is GOAT.

Take a deep breath and let the game come to u breh lol.
U should find weapons while u do those side quest so that shouldnt be a issue early on. Or u could follow a guide and find the special gear for each school but i think those have level requirements.
As far as builds go that is up to u to decide. I did a magic build and was op as fukk even on death march. Quen is very essiantial for a "mage" build. U can mix up your mutegen colors but i recomend sticking to one so u can maximize your stats. Again it really is up to u, even if u fukk up your stats u can respec them with a potion.
The game is much better on new game plus tho, I was way to powerfull halfway through as it doesnt level any of the missions or enimies with u. I cleared out question marks before taking on story missons and it was boring because i was too strong.

Upgrade quen and yrden. And just play breh. But those 2 spells were pretty much all I needed. It's one of my favorite games of all time but I never liked the combat all that much. I wouldn't worry about the combat too much. Just let the story come to you
