Just occurred to me that the class of 2020 will be screwed worse than millennials

I think this is the norm for people who can but you’re also in the DMV. If the best job option you get isn’t anywhere near where your folks live then that changes things. My cousin got fired and found a new job in Minnesota and she was living in Carolina. She is lucky to be moving in with family there.
Yep. That’s the good thing about the DMV.

My youngest bro is in tech, almost went West but Amazon of course got loads of jobs here.

Im in the policy and international development space so it’s DC or abroad or some mix.

All I know is I been through an economic tsunami every damn decade since I was a kid when we had the recession in 1990 up here.. every damn decade since then I been impacted by these greedy a$$holes.

2030s gonna be some other shyt. That's why I got into real estate. If you are relying on a job, you already lost.

Yep. Our generation has been through three downturns as adults. Early 2000, I lost my first job out of college due to dot com recession. 2008 I was lucky to keep my job cause I was working in the federal sector. So far I have been lucky to keep my job because I’m still in the federal sector. I know people who have lost jobs in all three downturns.

I believe I still suffer from PTSD from my first lay-off. :mjcry:
