Good movie. Audience sucked. People have never seen horror films before and are scared by the most rudimentary things.

It was long and drawn-out.

And in terms of its portrayal of the black father...

Peele has a hulking, black father acting like a scared deer throughout the film, while making the black mother the SOLE, strong heroic figure. One of the most emasculating portrayals of a black father that has ever seen on screen. And Howard U folks should be mad, too, for the use of their logo sweatshirt being tied to weakness and fear.
