I remember thinking the first ep was just aite, largely because I was sort of confused. It really throws you into the deep end of the pool right away. But after a couple episodes it becomes amazing. Hell, when I rewatch the first ep in hindsight it's very good.
It's a way slower show than Breaking Bad for instance, so I can see why some people get turned off. But anyone else notice that some people be hating on it because of the subject matter/race involved? I've heard white (and black) people who love The Sopranos and Breaking Bad say with a straight face "dunno if I can watch drug dealers portrayed like this. How can I identify with criminals?
