so I got iphone 6S that was paid in full for, cuz I don't like being on a payment plan for a phone, but the battery was acting real shytty. anyways, I ordered a battery off amazon, cuz it should be a simple repair. I have disassembled an iphone before and what not, so I was like :yeshrug:

anyways, I'm trying to pry the battery out and its got so much adhesive, it must have bent and then exploded, cuz that bytch caught on fire for real. now this would not have been bad since I had a new battery ready to go. but the heat from the battery fried some shyt on the motherboard.

I still put the new battery in after it cooled off and I threw out the old battery and the phone suprisingly comes on. touch id works. touch screen works. phone calls work. blue tooth work. but my headphone jack don't work. and that would have been fine, but the kicker, is the damn lightning port is destroyed, so I cannot charge it :mjcry:

bout to go to apple and get another phone. I was trying to hold out for the 8 too :pacspit:

there's no way to spin this into a W.

You have a 6s and tried to open it yourself? Why didn't you just take it to an Apple Store? Chances are they would have swapped out your phone at no cost. They've done that for me before with no question at all.

I have done this before and they said it wasn't due to be recalled off the serial number and they tested the battery and it was fine. Plus it's out of warranty.

In Apple now and they might let me get a $300 replacement.

that apple care warranty is worth the 100 bucks breh

battery replacement was only $80, so it's an L for me. I shouldn't have been cheap in trying to do it myself. but I have totally disassembled previous iphones, so I figured I could do it myself cuz it's a very simple repair.
