First saw it when I was 16, last saw it maybe 4-5 years ago (it was on some cable channel)...

Easily one of the best movies I've ever seen, Top 20 type shyt, and the older I get, the more it resonates. I think probably the biggest relatability is that is basically what life in America is like----->different ethnicities who, except for a very few places, coexist in separate bubbles with stereotypes of everyone else, different groups of people who only mingle when absolutely necessary in most cases...

This is such a racist, fukked up nation...

@ISO what's your grade on this movie? It's a 10 for me dog, shyt was brilliantly scripted and acted and touching in several different spots...

If yall ain't seen it yet it's on Netflix, go watch it before they take it down. It's a drama, deals with many themes from racism to human trafficking but in general it captures the essence of the social dynamic between groups of different backgrounds in America. All star cast, waaaaayyyy too many muhfukkas to list, go watch this shyt!

I got out of it the same thing man. Everybody had preconceived stereotypes/prejudice about one another.

Sandra Bullock’s character pretty much exemplified white privilege but was still utterly miserable.

Don Cheadle was supposed to be like an Uncle Tom type character or “good negro” on the police force. Him trying to excuse that white cop for killing that black cop just because the black cop had $300,000 in the truck was inexcusable. His mom was on dope and his brother was homeless. He had somewhat turned his back on them and it came to bite him.

Ludacris character was a complete contradiction.

Man they did that white rookie cop dirty he really wanted to be different did a valiant thing when Terrence Howard character was tweaking.

Good movie that should be talked about more and is still highly relevant. I give it a perfect score.

Hell I had a Lyft driver yesterday who's from Afghanistan and served, worked with the US forces over there and everything and had nothing but bullshyt here in the states.
He was goin off after the first turn we made and he got triggered.
All I could tell him was I feel for you bruh, Americans can be wack as fukk with their entitlement :francis:

a 7 for me, the acting was good, the intersecting plots were good ...but it didn't show me anything that I hadn't already known or seen before in real life or in a movie. There was nothing original about it to me at all.

I know I'm like the only person who wasn't impressed with it though...it won an academy award and everyone I know swears by it.

Solid flick

Yeah me too. The ending proved that the cop who wasn't racist did indeed have his own prejudice feelings/thoughts when he shot Don's brother for reaching into his pockets.

This was the best scene in the movie.

That backlash for the Oscar's was something else.

This was the lady who wrote the story for brokeback mountain. She was :mjpls: at 3 6 mafia performing.
