Just watched “The Hunt”

Didn’t see an official thread, mods if there is one then you can merge. Anyway I thought it was entertaining as an action/thriller flick but mediocre as a political satire. After all the controversy I expected something edgier but the satire was pretty safe, middle ground with a message of “both sides are flawed.”

But the action/thriller aspects were dope

The opening kills had me They Drew Barrymore’d in Scream all the high profile actors in the first 20 minutes. Made it suspenseful because you knew any character they focused on could get it at any moment

I knew nothing about the movie going in, but thought it was funny and enjoyable.

The fukkery at the beginning caught me by complete surprise and the dynamic between snowball + gary, then snowball + don had me

I agree it's poor as a political satire (too on the nose) but the other aspects are entertaining.

i enjoyed the movie. i knew i would enjoy when i first saw the trailer a year ago

Good flick so far. Some of the satire cheeses it up, but it's not unbearable. Lots of the jokes are legitimately funny and the action/production is very good.

It tried to hard to be funny tho with all the political commentary. My only critique.

She was making expressions like for absolutely no reason. It had like for the whole movie.
