In wake of his Tiny Desk concert it's a no brainer

He really checks every requirement you could ask for :manny:

Catalog, sales, hit singles, lyricist, highly skilled, longevity

Legendary solo artist and part of a legendary group

He has one of if not the GOAT music video in rap history (Ha)

400 Degreez is a landmark album

Still relevant to this day

You name anybody else they better at least have 1 5 mic album that sold at 4+ million to start a discussion
I’m down south but even I’ll tell you 50 will boot Juve outta most folks top 10 list. You can also put Weezy in his place

I love kiss but he gotta get outta here

there are people who really put kiss that high, people will also argue that juve has a much more consistent catalogue than 50.

That Project English-Koch record period was very rough for my boy...

He got some songs sprinkled in, but juve was on the ropes until Nolia clap and cash money saved him

Anytime someone uses the :manny: I'm assuming what he knows he's saying is some bullshyt but he's gonna say it anyway

Loved Juvie since Ha and grew up on him as a youngin but this is a no. I wouldn't say Juvenile was a highly skilled rapper by any means and his longevity isn't all that impressive if we're being honest. His run only really lasted for about 3 years and even that's iffy you add context

Mystikal was a better rapper and lyricist than Juvie but I don't wanna go there

400 Degreez is a good album but in my personal opinion isn't a classic but I have no problem with south bruhs saying it is. 400 Degreez was mostly carried by the Hot Boyz and Mannie Fresh more so than Juvenlie himself

Seems like you're just riding off the tinydesk high right now and I understand it with you being from the south

Sidenote: How the hell can you have Snoop in your top 10 when Snoop has admitted he's had ghostwriters for damn near 30 years?

Jada, Cube and Face never sold 4+ million. I don’t think Nas did either.
Juve and Jada don’t have 5 mic albums.

  1. Prodigy
  2. Nas
  3. Ghostface
  4. Cube
  5. Rakim
  6. Big
  7. Pac
  8. KRS
  9. Jay
  10. Not sure about 10. But it’s definitely not Juve. G Rap, Andre, Kane, Raekwon, Puba, Buckshot, Roc Marc, Doom, Meth, GZA, Q Tip, Havoc and others are in the mix for that. Juve is definitely top 50.
